Interview with Jakub Vais on the AVANT Podcast: How EBM Real Estate SICAV Is Changing the Face of Residential Development

12. 10. 2025
At EBM Real Estate SICAV, we believe that quality living is a combination of a well-thought-out location, timeless architecture, and fair pricing. Our CEO, Jakub Vais, confirmed this in the new episode of AVANT Podcast #3, where he spoke with Martin Urban from Long Capital about how EBM is transforming residential development and protecting investors from risks.
“Our mission is to make living more beautiful – not only for end users but also for investors who share our vision,”
says Jakub Vais. Founded a year ago after five years of preparation, EBM Real Estate SICAV allows qualified investors to participate in premium projects without dependence on large corporations. The fund targets an annual return of 10–12%, with a guaranteed 8% until the end of 2027, secured by the founders. “We take on the risks of permitting processes so investors can rely on stable costs and returns,” Vais adds.
Highlights from the Podcast
Jakub Vais shared the story of the Krč Garden acquisition — a process that took 1.5 years, including a meeting in Philadelphia, to buy land from five heirs. “We wanted to create a project that honors their family’s history,” he recalls.
Another upcoming project is planned in Jesenice, featuring 250–260 residential units, which will be redesigned according to EBM’s core values: quality, feasibility, and added value. Martin Urban praised EBM as “a mid-sized developer with strong trust in the market” and highlighted the company’s risk mitigation strategy.
Why Invest with EBM?
With a minimum investment of around CZK 1 million and a 3–5 year horizon, EBM offers investors stability and attractive returns. The fund retains a 25% equity share in its projects, ensuring long-term commitment. “We create spaces that have a soul,” concludes Vais.
