ARCHITECTURE AMONG THE TREES

In the quiet Kladno-Ostrovec neighbourhood, surrounded by forest on three sides, a group of four five-storey buildings was completed, with 126 apartments ranging from 1-room to 4-room layouts. On a plot of approximately 8,000 m², generous space and timeless architecture meet the greenery — the apartments have large loggias, cellar storage and basement garages. The façades work with a rhythm of loggias, timber sun-shades and daylight in the interiors.

Rezidence Engerth received the Architects’ Award for the Central Bohemian Region in the Real Estate Project of the Year 2024 competition. The jury recognised the variety of the ensemble: three related buildings with white plaster, horizontal loggia bands and sun-shades, and a fourth building with a different massing, continuous loggias and suspended balconies — while the whole remained coherent.

The design was prepared by Expert Architects and Ateliér Smitka.

FOREST AT THE DOOR, PRAGUE WITHIN REACH

Kladno-Ostrovec lies 25 kilometres from Prague, with the railway station within walking distance. The future high-speed rail stop is a five-minute walk from the buildings; once the line is finished, the journey to central Prague, Masaryk Station, metro line A at Veleslavín and Václav Havel Airport will take around thirty minutes.

The project received occupancy approval and was handed over in 2026. Every apartment had an owner before the development was fully completed.
